Morley Safer, the longest-standing "60 Minutes" correspondent, who replaced
Harry Reasoner in 1970 when Reasoner moved to ABC, is retiring from CBS
News after 50 years of distinguished service--his last piece aired in
March, but CBS will air a special one-hour tribute to Safer's career this
Sunday after "60" (sports overruns permitting):

I believe that this makes Lesley Stahl now the longest-standing "60"
correspondent.
