Back in the day, i've saw someone other than the main anchors(back in that era it was either Brokaw or the Today anchors) do it. Faith Daniels did one or two special reports when she was the Today newsreader, because i seem to remember her once breaking into one of of the game shows, either Concentration or Wheel of Fortune(back when Wheel was on twice a day at that time) Did the GMA anchors ever do that when ABC News didn't control the show?
