The speech Mrs. Trump gave last night apparently had a paragraph that was
substantially similar to a paragraph from one of Mrs. Obama's convention
speeches. People were connecting the dots around 10:30 pm so I suppose the
Late Show people could have whipped up something in an hour or so. Would it
have been any good?
Maybe 11:35 is too soon to be ready to comment fully on the crazy of the day.
It certainly seems to be to soon for whatever happens during the 10 pm hour,
which is the only broadcast network live coverage. We'll see how Seth Meyers
does on Wednesday, when he'll go live the night of Mr. Trump's convention
speech.

I actually stayed up to watch this (I usually watch the next morning). The
stew thing made me laugh. The Colbert segment was nice too. Everything else
was meh.

Yes, it was live from the Ed, so of course it started with a taped song and
dance number. Some of that footage was shot in Cleveland, as was what I assume
the Vulture link refers to.
Despite being live, they missed the plagiarism thing entirely.
