Was vacationing when I read the news. As B5 is one of my top five favorite shows (I'd been rewatching the series again last week), this one hurts. I've had a few exchanges with Jerry Doyle on the Twitter. He was one of the first Tea Party people, and also one of the first to be critical of the movement when it filled with extremists even farther to the right than he was. I never saw him treat those who disagreed with him disrespectfully; he was not your typical right wing radio host. I'm wondering if the head injury he sustained last year might have been a contributing factor in his death. I suppose we will wait and see.
A tragic many Babylon 5 cast members have gone "beyond the rim" years before their time. Sinclair - Michael O'Hare Garibaldi - Jerry Doyle Franklin - Richard Biggs G'Kar - Andreas Katsulas Zach - Jeff Conaway And those are just the principal characters. The list is downright spooky if we include recurring or special guest stars. I genuinely don't mean for this to sound crass, but I can't think of a 1990s TV series with as high a body count.
