The workaholic comedian is shutting down his Chicago-based lifestyle talk show for NBCU syndication (produced by Endemol Shine) and relocating to LA for a more celeb-oriented format for next fall, still to be syndicated by NBCU but co-produced and co-owned by Harvey (possible pay wall):
http://www.chicagotribune.com/business/ct-steve-harvey-leaving-chicago-1112-biz-20161111-story.html The story is that Harvey is tired of the constant commuting between LA (where he tapes "LIttle Big Shots" and "Celebrity Family Feud"), Chicago and Atlanta (where he tapes the regular syndicated "Family Feud" and his syndicated radio show is based--he does the radio show live from his office in Chicago with his wacky sidekicks in Atlanta). If the projected Fox reboot of "It's Showtime at the Apollo" goes to a series (it'll have a back door pilot special in May), that would add commuting to New York. One would suspect that he would also like to have the radio show and syndicated "Feud" moved to LA, as well, although the tax breaks Fremantle gets from the Georgia state government might be too attractive for them and his sidekicks may not want to go to bed early and get up at 1 a.m. to be on the air for the East Coast at 6 a.m. ET. -- -- TV or Not TV ....
