Around 10-10.30 last night (24) instead of their Bourdain show.

The system is run by RCN, who also owns the second system through the
Lehigh Valley (Service Electric was the first, and they directly compete in
many 'hoods including ours)

Saturday night during the flaky weather and the Penn State football game
(Lions beat Rutgers, who should not be in the Big Ten, in their building,
*bahdly*) I lost signal on all channels. An after-hours person at SE to
whom I procedurally reported the outage (after rustling through a bunch of
papers) said it was because the company was converting my 'hood to
all-digital service - which RCN did here over 2011 and '12 - and that I
could call them in the morning to arrange delivery of a box.

After thinking about it, and punching up the game on the net, I ignored
her. Even the first cabler in the nation doesn't throw the switch without
announcing it in their bills, and we'd just gotten one a few days before
that said nothing of the sort. Connection was back in the morning, and
hasn't had any issues since.
