Additional discussion of what TBS and Conan have actually been talking about
via Vulture.  More details than the THR article, including comments from Jeff
Ross (the Conan EP, not the Roastmaster General).

TL;DR - Conan and TBS both like the remote shows, and are exploring ways to do
more of them that don't stretch the Conan crew too thin.  After all, they are
spending more time per show on programs like Cuba or Berlin than they probably
do for a week in NYC or at Comic-Con.  This could simply mean more weeks of
repeats, fewer nights a week, a shorter length program, or some other schedule.

Kevin Reilly, TBS head, emphasizes that there are no concrete timetable or plan
for the switchover, which may not be to weekly, but would try and make it
easier for the show to do the remote shows that have been a bigger part of the
program over the last few years.

The article gets at something I don't think Conan has gotten as much attention
for compared to the Jimmys - his viral content.  Arguably that sustained him in
the time between NBC and TBS.

TBS says it plans to rework Conan O'Brien's talk show from a nightly format to
a weekly one. No date has been announced for the switchover ...

The network suggests the weekly format may take the form of Conan's "on the
road" episodes where he's gone to Cuba, South Korea and the like.--
