I agree with you.  It is the ONLY show of that era that's just as worth 
watching today as it was back then.

Ironic. I was going to start a thread in this group about which shows
age well and which don't. It was prompted on Saturday by a sixteenish
girl turning to her 6-year-old sister and saying, "You've got spunk,
Tawny. I HATE spunk."
Turns out she and her friends binge-watched Mary Tyler Moore over
Christmas break. Her parents (well, her father) have a massive
collection of old TV shows on DVD that he's bought off eBay. Mary
Tyler Moore rated viewing but most others did not not
It would be interesting to hear the group's opinion on which shows
aged well. I think Mary Tyler Moore Show does because the it was
well-written and well-acted.
