I remember Connors because I knew at an early age actors took WASPish names to help their careers and Connors' nose and ears suggested he was Slavic Actually, he was Armenian, from a few mountain ranges to the south. I guess in some ways Jim Rockford was a similar character, except Rockford files had better music and a hipper car.
