West Virginia University, an outlier in the Great Plains-based Big XII, is
also an outlier in the Pittsburgh DMA.

Despite that, Morgantown's current Comcast lineup contains stations from the
neighboring Clarksburg market, based 40 miles to the south. Nexstar's WBOY
(NBC.1-ABC.2*) even has a sales office in Morgantown.

But effective March 14, Comcast will be dropping WBOY from the lineup,
yielding to WPXI. The mood across town at Gray's WDTV (CBS)/WVFX
(Fox.1-CW.2*) can't be too rosy.

*Comcast-Morgantown has never carried the ABC and CW digi-channels.

A former WBOY anchor correctly noted that Pittsburgh uses Morgantown's
growing population to stay in the Top 25, but still, I doubt the ribbon ads
at Mountaineer Field next season will be featuring much, if any, Pittsburgh
media content.
