After the short thread we had about network reality shows last week I
started thinking about the long running series that became brands. The only
major one I can think of which is no longer on the air is American Idol. If
ABC wants to revive it they have to make it look new. If they try to make
it look like FOX's Idol it will remind viewers why they stopped watching.
Replacing Seacrest makes more sense than going out of their way, like
moving production across the country, to keep him.
