Ken Silverstein in the Observer <http://observer.com/2017/05/john-oliver-property-tax-scam-trump/> (link) (once a salmon-coloured weekly paper before transitioning strictly online, and formerly headed by now-Trump advisor/in-law Jared Kushner) noted this week that a longstanding NY-state tax exemption originally intended to spur new development on vacant or underused land, but which thanks to a successful lawsuit against the city back in the Koch years by a younger Donald got expanded to help him replace the old Bonwit Teller store with Trump Tower, was invoked years ago by the now-HBO host and his wife to grab their current penthouse digs... the exemption has expired, Silverstein wrote, and may or may not be replaced with a lesser one...
