Taken from Deadline, the usual about new shows and times: MONDAY 8-9 PM — Supergirl 9-10 PM — VALOR The Army helicopter pilot survivors of a mission to Somalia gone awry know the whereabouts of their missing team member, but they're afraid to let anything out that might put him in danger. It's the usual group of young unknowns for a C-Dub show (and showrunners).
TUESDAY 8-9 PM — The Flash 9-10 PM — DC’S Legends of Tomorrow The only all-DC night of the fall. WEDNESDAY 8-9 PM — Riverdale (New Night) 9-10 PM — DYNASTY Cue Bill Conti's trumpet player to start into that theme music, but you won't see any of the original cast members playing the roles they made famous, since it's a reboot. Blake is played by Grant Show from the original "Melrose Place," Krystle is spelled "Cristal" and played by a Latina, Fallon is played by Elizabeth Gillies from "Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll" and Sammy Jo's a man. The people behind "Gossip Girl" are showrunning, although the original creators Richard and Esther Shapiro are involved. THURSDAY 8-9 PM — Supernatural 9-10 PM — Arrow (New Night) "Supernatural"'s going to do an animated episode with the "Scooby-Doo" gang, so I hear. FRIDAY 8-9 PM — Crazy Ex-Girlfriend (New Time) 9-10 PM — Jane the Virgin (New Night) The series that the critics love but not even the C-Dub's targeted audience really loves seem to be stuck together on the slowest night of the schedule. As for mid-season: BLACK LIGHTNING--Your network for the DC Cinematic Universe presents Nawlins' own superhero, who had retired from the superhero to do less dangerous ways of serving the community--until a crime wave hits the Crescent City. Along with the DCCU's TV caretaker Greg Berlanti, Salin and Mara Brock Akil return to the C-Dub for the first time their sitcom "The Game" was dumped from the lineup as part of a cleanout of all half-hours (to which it moved to BET, where they've been with the moveover of "Girlfriends" and "Being Mary Jane"). LIFE SENTENCE--Manic Pixie Dream Girl Stella (played by former Pretty Little Liar Lucy Hale) has been spending the last few years on a bucket list filling out party as a response to being diagnosed with terminal cancer. Well, surprise, Stella: You've been cured and there's consequences to pay. (Does that mean that Zooey Deschanel's terminally ill, too?) Bill Lawrence (!) is a producer, along with former "PLL" showrunner Oliver Goldstick (on the net where Hale began her scripted career as a lead with "Privileged"). And remember--two-thirds of all of these new shows from the last week will not make it to a second season. Take it, Brad. -- -- TV or Not TV .... The Smartest (TV) People!
