Monday morning, the syndicated radio host Bobby Bones talked about the fact that his girlfriend, country singer Lindsay Ell, suddenly had a promotional appearance of Sacramento's top-rated country station KNCI in Sacramento pulled when her relationship with Bones, who is heard only on country formats, was discovered, mentioning the programming chief for KNCI owner CBS in Sacramento by first name, saying that he knows of at least a dozen other programmers, both terrestrial and otherwise, who have told him that they will not play Ell on their stations because of Bones' relationship, and threatening to mention their names, adding that no station would do that for a male singer in a similar situation:
