The multihyphenate best-known for the Madea films and other projects
watched by very few white people will immediately end his longtime
association with Lionsgate and will make his movie homebase at
Paramount--when his current contracts with OWN and Discovery end in 2019,
Viacom's channels (primarily BET, but including the others) will be his
exclusive television and Internet home:

One can say that the move to Viacom will be a big blow to OWN, especially
considering that his series have been by general cable standards the only
ratings hits the channel has had in its six-year history. Something tells
me that this is not a very good day for Oprah.
