Steve I think you have missed the point that was being made in criticizing Kelly. It was often said that if she wanted to expose him as a fraud that might be worthwhile journalism, but giving him a platform on which to normalize himself as simply one voice among a continuum of perspectives was irresponsible. If Megyn Kelly had done a straight news version of what Oliver did last night I don't think yo would have heard much criticism of her.
I thought Oliver was fanatastic last night BTW, Only exception - I don't agree with his making fun of the CNN annotated video of the McCain vote against "Skinny Repeal" of ACA. I liked that video (and the several still photograph versions appearing elsewhere).
