Perhaps a more piquant comparison -- and the reason I can't believe Daniel felt
it necessary to ask this* -- is that the 2001 Emmy Awards were postponed twice,
first from September 16 to October 7 due to the events of 9/11, and then from
October 7 to November 4 due to the start of the War in Afghanistan.

*Although I've seen Daniel's questions in enough online forums that I should
probably believe anything he feels it necessary to ask.
