I haven't had a chance to watch a whole Nantz/Romo game but from what I
have seen I like him. There are so many color analysts who spend so much
time looking at their notes or something that they aren't paying attention
to the game in front of them. Romo pays attention and can relay what he
sees without jargon or cliches. I also read an article where Romo started
training for the job as soon as he was signed and spent a lot of time with
broadcasters learning what to do and what not to do and he also did
practice games to prepare. So he is not so arrogant to think he knew
everything going into the booth.

Former Steeler Hines Ward had a podcast last year. After his playing days
he was with NBC for Sunday night games and then Notre Dame games. He said
when watches pro football at home he knows a lot more than the average fan
because he can read offensive and defensive formations and he has a good
idea of what will happen in the play. Romo seems to have the same knowledge
and he can smoothly share it.
