Dunno if those in USA saw this when it was fresh in the 1980's, but since it was CANCON (Canadian Content) it was shown prime-time on CTV (9pm? 10pm?).
It was the spring-board for Super Dave Osborne. The show featured John Byner, who I never knew before.
