Based on what I’m hearing and seeing about her daytime show, she’s
abandoned any pretense of journalism.

We need a new crop of old-school TV news-hounds. We need a Barbara Walters
who is capable of injecting journalism into fluff interviews. We need a
Peter Jennings (oh, how I miss him) who can look at the bigger picture and
tell it like it is without being provocative. And we need a Harry
Reasoner/Morley Safer who can confront leaders of business and politics and
speak truth to power. I know these people exist, and are waiting for the
chance. It’d be nice if the hapless current guard could be shuffled away.
Yeah, Don Lemon, I’m looking at you; you’re so bad, you’d fit in on
FoxNews.
