>From reading, it sounds as though House of Cards is actually currently in production, and what Netflix is saying is that the 2018 season will be the final one. I'm not sure they're actually delaying it however. The fifth season was released at the end of May this year, and so I wouldn't expect to see it before May 2018 anyway.
I don't think Spacey did himself any favours in his combined "I don't remember" apology alongside coming out which is not really relevant. But we'll have to wait and see what Netflix does in the medium term.
