While discussing the proposed tax plan with the press this week, Trump made a casual remark about how his accountant told him some of the proposals might negatively impact Trump’s wealth. Let’s set aside whether that is a true statement; if he is talking with people about how Federal legislation impacts him personally when he is in a position to make that legislation the law of the land, that would seem to be a clear crime. I still believe it is his unwillingness to set up a blind trust that will be his undoing.
