I wanted to spotlight two recent bits of media that focus on women, the first is a well-written op-ed by Merrill Markoe that looks at where the industry was when she started and some of her experiences. She doesn't mention Letterman which seemed odd to me, but it is still a worthwhile read.

Still alive in her mid-90s, she began performing around the age of 5. Watching the film "Wait For Your Laugh," Rose Marie's story is really the story of the history of American show business, from Vaudeville to Broadway to radio to TV to film to animation and all points in between. It is playing in limited release (in New York this week), but I highly recommend it. I also recommend following her on Twitter. https://twitter.com/RoseMarie4Real Rose Marie only talked about one instance of sexual harassment; there might've been more, but considering she was buddies with Al Capone and several other major mob figures (true story), people might have been reluctant to mess with her. -- Kevin M.
