Not much on TV made my dad laugh. Jack Benny, and later Alan King, did.
And so did Gomer Pyle (much to my surprise). I remember there was one episode where someone got his foot stuck in a boot (one of those always reliable sitcom plots). There were tears streaming down my father's face from laughing so hard.
