Let's just say that social media in Minnesota isn't happy over Minnesota
Public Radio giving Garrison Kellior the slip--the equivalent of 100 pages
of comments on MPR's Facebook page, almost all of them angry about the
firing over alleged sexual harassment, many of them making that traditional
threat to public broadcasters of no more pledges, and I assume some
additional complaining about National Public Radio or MPR being either
libtards or sellouts to the Koch brothers, MPR's classical network only
playing the equivalent of a direct response "101 Musical Masterpieces"
album, announcers on classical service being too chatty and undignified,
MPR's adult alternative rock network the Current in general, taking "Car
Talk" off, taking Michael Feldman off, that inane quiz show "Wait, Wait..."
that is beneath public radio. that evil retired CEO Bill Kling (and surely
a reference to "the Klingon empire"--and I thought diehard public radio
listeners never watched evil commercial television) and some other things
that I've forgotten:

And I will bet that the median age of the commenters is somewhere over 65.

By the way, Kellior lost his Washington Post Writers Group syndicated
column today (as you may remember, the last one defended Al Franken from
his accusers). Chris Thiel is probably very happy he's in NY this week and
is not due back to the Fitzgerald in St. Paul until Feb. 24, when hopefully
this will all have died down.
