On Friday's show, Colbert did mention at the beginning of the monologue that the audience was good enough for two shows. The guests were Carol Burnett and Lewis Black; our old pal Sue Trowbridge's site shows Hamill as next Friday. Given the news cycle, Colbert would be well-served to be explicit about taping the show a day early. (Seth Meyers mentioned on his Wednesday show that it had actually been taped Tuesday so as not to have to deal with the crowd for the tree-lighting, so his lack of Matt Lauer mentions was understandable.) -- -- TV or Not TV ....
