And it happens again: Boston NPR station WBUR, currently locked in mortal combat against fellow Hub NPR news-talker WGBH (and in the last rating book beating commercial news-talk bulwark WBZ, recently taken over by iHeart Radio after the CBS-Entercom merger), and its owner Boston University have put talk show host Tom Ashbrook, whose "On Point" mid-morning program is syndicated by NPR (at the same time that NPR feeds WAMU DC's "1A," which replaced Diane Rehm's program after her retirement), "on leave" while "unspecified allegations" are investigated--no indication who will fill in for Ashbrook, although for familiarity's sake BUR may move over "Here and Now" co-host Robin Young:
https://current.org/2017/12/citing-allegations-wbur-and-licensee-put-tom-ashbrook-on-leave/ Outside of the right celebrating more snowflake SJW cucks being ratted out, it seems like public radio is just asking for more angry letters/E-mails/tweets/posts threatening not to give money to their stations. I realize that these things have to be worked out, but especially considering the hoo-hah in Minnesota over Garrison Kellior's forced leave-taking, it may be better to leave these people on the air while the investigation's going on and dumping them only if they really have to, especially considering diehard public radio listeners' (initial) hostility to anything new or different. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "TVorNotTV" group.
