I really liked the first version of Dirk that the BBC (UK) produced a few
years back, but it was released around the same time as the Sherlock reboot
so it didn’t get a lot of attention. It was truer to the original source
material than the BBCA version. I also liked the BBCA version, though not
as much. In my mind’s eyes, Dirk looks like the late Douglas Adams, not a
gen-x guy. Hard to see past that.
