CBS trending older is true for procedurals and sitcoms. Maybe even Survivor
and TAR to a point. But the people who would identify with a situation of
strangers being put in a house together are young people who frequently
move, have roommates, and hang out with their peers. As people age they
look for more stable housing situations, shrink their social circles, and
spend time with family. The kind of behavior that might make Big Brother
compelling makes sense with twenty-somethings doing it and much less sense
when it's forty-somethings.
