It appears Roeper is being required to delete his Twitter with the bought followers and start over. As a film critic, would he have a social media clause that somehow ties rate of pay to his follower count? That's the only reason I could understand for this. And assuming so -- that his film reviews serve as clickbait -- doesn't that call into question his "opinions?" Wouldn't he, for the sake of more social media interaction, post reviews designed to fan flames rather than to provide an honest critique of a given film?
