nope. We had the 3 US nets, plus the 3 Canadian ones (CBC, CTV, Global) in early 80's.
Although I do remember a cousin visiting once and saying "ABC is the best," but I do not recall their justification. My personal preferences in early 80's was NBC and CBS, but that's because we didn't get ABC on cable in my city until later. For newscasts we often watched CBC.
