Administrivia: My computer was apparently chosen, sometime in 2017 when the redesigned Firefox browser model was created with substantial elements swiped from Google, to participate in some extracurricular activity I don't believe even Mozilla's inner circle totally understands.
What it entails is a bigger secret than, f'rinstance, how MS intricately weaved Internet Explorer into sixth-gen Windows. It reminds me of then-Juno boss Charlie Ardai's grandiose plan to harness individual users' computer power during "idle" times to help search for extra-terrestrial intelligence, except that this effort does not know or care whether or not a given user is idle at any one moment. It can slow my system so badly that typed stuff ends up in the wrong places, which explains the extraneous letter in the subject line.
