Wow. At first I thought a lava flow had got it (My Hawaiian geography is vague and I just know that every so often I see more extraordinary footage of lava).
If 1933 isn't historic in Hawaii then I wonder what is? You'd struggle to get planning permission to that in the UK and we have *loads* of historic buildings!
