I recall getting flack from my bosses when I was an NBC Page and refused to
work on an episode of the Tonight Show where he was the guest. He had just
taped the “I’m in love with my horse” pro-beastiality episode that never
aired in syndication. Springer was clickbait television before the internet
rendered that sort of tv redundant. I’m all for using media as a form of
escapism, but Springer is the sort of garbage people need to escape from.
He is scum; his show was scum. He is so scummy, I assume Trump will Tweet
something about how NBCU is forcing this great American hero off the air.
