Daria and Aeon Flux were both very much of their time. I guess maybe the new generation of MTV viewers (do kids still watch?) could like the shows, but they already have their own likes.
I was a Real World fan through the first nine or ten seasons... I stopped watching in the Hawaii season. The concept of seven very different people living together was a solid one; what didn’t work was when the producers started steering the housemates in contrived directions and situations (i.e.- run a business or work at a radio station). But here in 2018, people don’t need to tune in to see strangers living their lives. In fact, in 2018 it is practically impossible to avoid it.
