I have been spending a good chunk of the day going down the YouTube rabbit hole watching Harlan Ellison interviews, but I did click on this Stewart address to Trump.
https://youtu.be/PYCPZrOkZx0 I preface this genuinely serious question by reiterating that I would prefer no more celebrity presidential candidates, but is there anybody who would unite progressives more than Jon Stewart running for president? I don’t think he would do it, and I would prefer somebody with experience in diplomacy and economics, but — really — is there any Democrat who could bring out young people, older people, veterans, minorities, or really everyone the way Stewart could? The right would collectively lose its shit and be in such a panic they’d never be able to regroup. The media would be happy to give time to another celebrity... even Stewart who is openly critical of the media. Trump’s antisemitism would be forced out (again), and he’d lose the conservative Jewish group (even Dennis Prager would have to quit riding Trump’s c*ck). Anyway, just an idle question. I doubt it would ever happen, but right now it is the only thing I can think of that would nearly guarantee the end of the Trump cult’s grasp of power. -- Kevin M.
