I don’t know who said it first, but a phrase I’ve borrowed/stolen for years is “freedom of speech does not mean freedom from consequences.” If you are a douchebag, you cannot claim to be a victim when people want nothing to do with you. You are allowed to say racist and sexist and other stupid things without government censorship... that’s all the 1st Amendment guarantees.
