Cleese has had his own views on stuff for years. A bit of a non-story in my view. I must admit that I thought he largely lived in the US anyway.
Of note, his (very average) BBC One sitcom, Hold the Sunset, has just been renewed. Maitlis is one of the presenters on Newsnight, which mostly covers current events, but throws in the odd thing like this. He's an unusual interviewee however. To be honest, I bailed out after about four minutes just because I'm not especially interested in what he has to say, even if some of his views are sound. Threats to leave the country are regularly made, and often are followed through with largely for tax reasons :-) Adam (Who's mostly gutted we're out of the World Cup) On Wed, Jul 11, 2018 at 10:19 PM Tom Wolper <[email protected]> wrote: > On Wed, Jul 11, 2018 at 2:27 AM Kevin M. <[email protected]> wrote: > >> I’ve not seen Emily Maitlis before, but in her interview with Cleese, she >> seemed to take Cleese’s plans to move to an island in the Caribbean very >> personally.
