As cannabis becomes legal across the country it will become mainstream in the culture and a sitcom based in a legal cannabis shop would be cutting edge as it explores what had been conventional wisdom (marijuana is taboo and cannot be directly referred to lest the kiddies get ideas) and how it is being overturned today. The other main scene, on a porn shoot, echoes that as porn is an untalked about taboo that has become mainstream thanks to streaming sites. The potential is mind blowing. The execution is not. Middle aged stoners can't anchor a series. To be a young stoner, okay, maybe with maturity and responsibilities you can grow out of it and be productive. But if you hit middle age and getting stoned is life's priority, and there is no indication that either lead is married or has kids, then it becomes pathetic. Maybe other middle aged stoners will think it's cool and want to watch. Nobody else will. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "TVorNotTV" group.
