The pubcaster had to pay £210k to the entertainer after he griped about the telecast of a 2014 police raid on his home that did not end in any arrest or charge... The Beeb originally appealed, fearing chilling effects on freedom of speech, but instead will ask the UK government to have Parliament address the overhanging issues... this sounds more like something an American broadcaster would get sued over, a local one...
