Marc Maron tweeted this week that “GLOW” has been picked up for a third season.
I just finished the second season of the Netflix series and while it wasn’t
flawless it clearly beat the sophomore jinx.
More of the secondary characters get developed in the second season. Alison
Brie shines in the second season. She seems destined for stardom. Betty Gilpin
shows more range and even Marc Maron has his moments.
The best episode is the wrestling match. It’s like they ate a bunch of sunrooms
before they shot it. The final episode seemed to hedge their bets in case they
weren’t renewed. I had problems with some of it. Not plausible. But it had a
lot of nice touches, too. Like acknowledging unspoken attraction.
I look forward to season three.
