Right. I don’t expect them to release the content of the report. But I think they can say that the investigation is complete, and that they have a report. Moonves is admitting engaging in sexual behavior with subordinates 30 years ago, before he came to CBS. That alone is probably not enough to fire him for cause (unless they asked about that when he was hired or promoted, which seems unlikely). I assume the reason they are now saying his sever pay is being withheld “for now” is because they are either waiting for the formal report of their internal investigation (which I hope) or they are negotiating a sizable reducuto what he would be entitled to under his contract, which would mean that technically he is being fired for PR reasons.
