I follow some meteorologists and/or weather geeks on Twitter. On
*SATURDAY* they were starting to freak out about where the models were
going with this storm. All models are pretty consistent on track and most
of have been consistent that it "stalls" after landfall. Rain of 20-30" is
just crazy, in my mind.

I've only been to Columbia SC, and road to Charleston, once. But I do not
remember that terrain being too "mountainous". The potential for flooding
is freaky.

I anticipate a NWS statement along the lines of Katrina on Wed or Thurs
that implies "places will be uninhabitable for months". I hope not, but
it's still a possibility.

and now, one twitter user that re-tweets lots of weather and hurricane info.

FURTHER INFO.....
SiriusXM has, today, announced, that they will be simulcasting the Weather
Channel starting Thursday morning.... for FREE. Even on unsubscribed
radios. So this means you can get the weather channel audio in your car
for free if it has an SXM receiver. Ditto for those SXM radios you may
have terminated the subscription on.
