Really? Some of the biggest names in the game play for these two teams.
Ratings are down from last year, when the Dodgers were also in, and the
Astros instead of the Red Sox. Do you really think there were more Astros
with marque names than Red Sox? It’s not the National Anthem, its not lack
of name recognition.

There are several factors affecting MLB ratings, but mostly this is the
same trend we have seen with Super Bowl, Oscars, Olympics, etc. TV ratings
obviously have been going down for years, and the rate of decline has
accelerated in recent years.
