I’ve had mixed luck watching YouTube videos today. Most had no commercials or very short ones. One had a short commercial and then a 3 minute, 25 second commercial before the video I wanted to watch was supposed to play. Another video had a 1 minute, 30 second ad. This story said YouTube <https://www.impactbnd.com/blog/youtube-ads-non-skippable>in August allowed content providers to make ads unskippable. I don’t know why this kicked in today. But there are damn few videos on YouTube for which I will sit through a second, 3 minute, 25 second commercial. I wonder if Google just killed YouTube. Or maybe this is a hard sell to get people to pay for ad-free YouTube.
