Looking at the IMDB page, Macgyver’s boss (originally played by exposition-specializing character actor Dana Elcar but changed into a woman for the reboot) only lasted 12 episodes. So much for the diversity hire.
I barely made it through the pilot episode. I know by any measurable standard the original series was the epitome of TV cheese, but I didn’t know that as a kid watching it. The new series didn’t excite the kid in me the way the original did, so I just dropped it.
