Back to the original story of NBC giving up on airing Hair, I've seen that
the play would have aired opposite the Game of Thrones series finale and
that the live musicals were originated and championed by Robert Greenblatt,
who is no longer with NBC Entertainment. Rather than the network souring on
live musicals because of recent ratings, it might be that they became an
orphan at NBC.
