The latest WTF podcast by Marc Maron features an excerpt of Maron’s interview with Krusty the Clown scheduled to run Sunday on “The Simpsons” and an interview with Yeardley Smith, the voice of Lisa Simpson. Maron began teasing the Krusty interview on Tuesday, saying it was an important interview but not saying who it was. I guessed Albert Brooks. When I finally learned it was Krusty, it was anti-climactic. But after listening to the interview, I recommend it to others. It seems to be loosely scripted with some improvisation. It was funny. Maron suggests some of what you hear on the podcast has been cut from the TV show. http://www.wtfpod.com/podcast/episode-994-yeardley-smith-krusty-the-clown I haven’t finished the interview with Smith, but it sounds great so far. Smith is a fan of the podcast and has some good stories. Her personal mannerisms, like her laugh, carry over to the character of Lisa. Plus you get to hear what it sounds like if Lisa Simpson drops an F bomb.
