Just heard an interview with a journalist from Rolling Stone on NPR talking about Perry’s passing. Apparently the pitch for the new 90210 reboot is actually a “Curb Your Enthusiasm style show within a show” where the original cast was to play themselves in a comedy, attempting to reboot a fictional version of 90210. If true, I don’t see any way the series continues. I mean, I’m the first to say that I crack jokes about death as part of the grieving process, but I’m also the first to say it is almost impossible for that type of humor to translate into something suitable for prime time on a broadcast network.
