Rewatching a John Wayne western a few months ago, I recognized him amongst a group of southern gents vying for the affection of Rock Hudson’s daughter. I’d seen the movie countless times, but he didn’t even register with me until recently.
Still, he contributed one of the most cringe-worthy lines in TV history in the aforementioned Airwolf pilot, when viewers learned he doesn’t wear underwear.
